Five Tools, One Box: Everything in the Foot and Ankle Rehab Kit
Balance, stretching, arch strength, and toe mobility, assembled and checked by our team before it ever leaves the clinic.
Dr. Raj Pusuluri, PT, DPT·October 2026·7 min read·📍 HWY Physical Therapy, Salem OR·
Picture someone leaving a follow-up appointment with a short list: a balance board, a stretch strap, something for their arch, something for their toes. Reasonable advice, but it means four or five separate purchases, from four or five different listings, each with its own shipping wait and its own guesswork about whether it's actually the right one.
The Foot and Ankle Rehab Kit exists to close that gap. It's five tools that cover a genuinely complete foot and ankle routine, hand-assembled and checked by our team here in Salem, in one box with one instruction manual, instead of five separate decisions.
What you'll learn in this guide
What each of the five tools in the kit is actually for
How the five pieces work together as one routine, not five unrelated gadgets
Who this kit makes sense for, and who should talk to a PT before starting
Where to find the full instruction manual for step-by-step use of every tool
Why Five Tools Instead of One
A foot and ankle problem is rarely just one problem. Someone recovering from an ankle sprain usually needs balance retraining, calf and foot stretching, and often arch or toe work too, because the whole area compensates once one part is guarded or weak. Buying one gadget addresses one piece of that picture.
This kit was assembled around that reality: a balance board for standing stability, a stretch strap for guided lower-leg stretching, an arch strengthener for the arch and toes, and two toe-specific tools for spacing and big-toe mobility. Used together, they cover a genuinely complete routine instead of one isolated exercise.
A foot problem is rarely just one problem. That's why this is five tools, not one.
What's Actually in the Box
⚖️
Ankle Foot Balance Board
A wooden board with a non-slip surface and three removable padded rails, used standing for balance and ankle stability work at a level you control.
➰
Multi Loop Stretch Out Strap
A 6-foot nylon strap with 10 sewn loops, used for guided calf, hamstring, and foot stretching without needing to reach your own foot to hold a stretch steady.
🦶
Arch Strengthener
A spring-loaded arch and toe trainer with a textured foot plate, used seated for repeated arch and toe engagement.
🧦
Silicone Toe Separator
A soft five-toe spacer, worn to encourage a more open, natural toe position during rest or short sessions.
👣
Big Toe Exerciser
Two padded pads joined by a tension belt, worn on both big toes at once for gentle outward big-toe movement.
How the Five Pieces Work Together
Each tool in the kit covers a different part of a session, so a full routine touches balance, stretching, strength, and mobility rather than repeating the same movement five times. A typical short session might start seated with the arch strengthener and toe tools, move into stretching with the strap, and finish standing on the balance board once you're warmed up.
Every item is non-electric and needs no setup beyond taking it out of the box, so sessions can be as short as five or ten minutes and still cover real ground.
Getting Started
Building your first week with the kit
1
Start seated with the arch strengthener and toe separator, since these need the least balance and warm the foot up gently.
2
Add the stretch strap for calf and hamstring stretching once the foot feels loosened up, holding each stretch rather than bouncing.
3
Finish standing on the balance board only once you feel steady, starting with the rails in place for extra support and removing them as balance improves. Read the full manual (linked below) before your first standing session.

Before You Start: A Quick Checklist
This kit is a personal wellness product, not a substitute for individualized PT guidance. Check these first:
✓
You've read the full instruction manual (linked below) before your first session, especially before using the balance board standing
✓
You're starting with the balance board's support rails in place if you're at all unsteady, and removing them only as your balance genuinely improves
✓
You do not have diabetes, reduced sensation in your feet, or a condition affecting balance without first checking with your physical therapist or physician
✓
You're stopping any exercise that causes pain, not pushing through it
✓
You understand this is a general wellness product, not a substitute for an individualized program if you have a specific diagnosed condition
If you're recovering from a recent injury, surgery, or diagnosed balance condition, a PT can tell you which of these five tools to start with and in what order, rather than guessing at a routine on your own.
"
The patients who get the most out of a kit like this are the ones who use all five pieces as one routine, not just the one tool that looked most interesting.
Common Questions
Do I need to use all five tools every session?+
No. A full session touching all five is a good goal, but shorter sessions using two or three tools are still useful, especially when you're just starting out or short on time.
Is this safe if I have diabetes or numbness in my feet?+
Reduced sensation changes how safely you can judge pressure and balance, so this is exactly the situation where checking with your physical therapist or physician before starting is genuinely important, not just a formality.
Where do I find instructions for each tool?+
Every kit includes a QR code on the box linking to a free online instruction manual with safety notes, step-by-step instructions for all five tools, and a suggested weekly routine, viewable on any device.
Can I use this without seeing a PT first?+
For general foot and ankle wellness and maintenance, many people use it on their own. If you have a specific injury, recent surgery, or diagnosed condition, a PT visit first will help you know which tools and how much intensity is right for your situation.
What if I only need one or two of these tools?+
Several individual items from this kit, including the stretch strap and toe separator, are also available separately if you don't need the full set. The kit is built for anyone wanting a complete routine at a lower combined cost than buying each piece individually.
